Voucher price is right for employers
News from Nursery & Childcare Market News
Childcare voucher provider Early Years Vouchers Ltd has reported a 500% increase in the number of employers signing up to use vouchers.
It is thought that companies are recognising the potnetial to make savings using the vouchers as they consider their finances in the wake of the announcement that the UK is officially in recession.
Company director Amanda Ward said "58% of women with a child under five and 78% of women with children between six and 13 are working mums. Yet in spite of this, three quarters of working parents are not able to afford childcare. This demonstrates that there is a requirement for firms to better support working parents, especially during the credit crunch. By offering money-saving benefits, such as childcare voucher schemes, organisations can not only retain qualified employees but also produce a positive working relationship between employer and employee - and pass on some real cost-saving benefits.
